Coal Headwear Launches Lucky Vision Collection with Jess Mudgett

Find inspiration in the wide-open spaces of the mountains, rivers and high deserts of the West with Artist Jess Mudgett

Coal debuted its partnership with artist Jess Mudgett, introducing unique headwear that reflects Jess’ personal and artistic style. The Lucky Vision Collection draws inspiration from Mudgett’s creativity and on-the-go lifestyle. Mudgett’s larger-scale works have been seen gracing the walls of many restaurants, coffee shops and various businesses from San Francisco to Reykjavik, Iceland. He is originally hailing from Colorado and now travels the western United States between Wyoming, Colorado, and Portland, Oregon, in his truck and 4-wheel camper. Coal is proud to introduce the Poudre and LV in collaboration with Jess Mudgett for The Lucky Vision Collection.

Mudgett encompasses the on-the-road everywhere, there, and in between, both in his personal and creative-professional lifestyle. A longtime lover of skateboarding and passionate surfer, Jess values the experiences and freedom he gets from traveling and making his own schedule as an artist. For Mudgett, it’s not about the money, but rather the joy from the accountability of knowing it is he who celebrates his artistic wins and acknowledges failing times. It’s what makes him happy.

“You get out what you put in and that’s been showing for me recently,” Mudgett said. “Happiness to me is worth its weight in gold.”
