BELLEVUE, WA — Russell Wilson's journey from Seattle to Denver is complete after the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback and his wife Ciara secured a sprawling mansion in the elite Cherry Hills Village suburb of Denver.

News of the purchase spread on social media Friday, just a few days after the Wilsons put their Bellevue, Wash., property on the market for an eye-popping $36 million — a figure that includes $28 million for the lakefront mansion and another $8 million for an adjacent parcel. The couple bought their Eastside home for $6.7 million in 2015 and stands to make a hefty profit thanks to Puget Sound's red-hot real estate market.

According to TMZ, the Wilsons shelled out roughly $25 million for an even bigger pad outside Denver, purchasing the most expensive single-family home ever sold in the area. The new digs will provide nearly twice the space of their long-time Washington home, sitting on more than 5 acres, with four bedrooms and 12 bathrooms spread across 20,000 square feet.

Other amenities include a massive indoor pool, a full-sized basketball court, and a home theater.

As first reported by BusinessDen, the deal was brokered in an off-market deal, and the Cherry Hills home was purchased from a company managed by billionaire Gary Magness, an heir to the TCI fortune. The deal easily surpassed previous records for single-family homes in the Denver area, including a $16 million purchase for a downtown penthouse in 2020. Late last year, former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan sold his neighboring Cherry Hills mansion for $15.7 million.

Wilson and the Seahawks agreed to trade terms with Denver in March, after 10 years and two Super Bowl appearances with Seattle, in what was lauded as one of the biggest sports transactions in Emerald City history.
