SEATTLE, WA — An interactive map connecting residents with takeout and delivery options during Washington's stay-at-home order has grown to include several cities in King, Pierce and Snohomish counties, Seattle leaders announced Tuesday.

The map, launched by the City of Seattle in late March, allows users to search for small businesses near them and find operating hours, contact information and customized links for delivery services. After the map went public last month, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan said several other cities reached out to the city's IT department to get involved.

Since its inception, the newly-renamed #SupportPugetSoundSmallBiz map has collected information for more than 2,600 small businesses in approximately 20 cities, including Seattle, Renton, Bellevue, Kirkland, Tacoma and Issaquah.

Durkan said the map welcomes more than 2,000 visitors per day and has logged more than 250,000 visits since it went live.

Users can view restaurants across the region, or enter their address to narrow results by distance to their homes. Each entry includes the restaurant's physical address, phone number and a link to their website.

Durkan said each city is working in coordination with their local economic organizations to assemble entries on as many open businesses as possible. Bar, restaurant, cafe and brewery owners can also enter their information on a form to get listed within minutes. Businesses can also contact the city with questions at [email protected].

According to the project's website, work will soon be complete on an app version of the map for Android and Apple smartphones.

Several leaders released statements Tuesday welcoming the expanded efforts:

"I am excited to partner and collaborate with other cities across the region in this innovative way in support of our local restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic. Alongside work to address our shared public health and safety priorities, actions like these help us preserve the character that businesses bring to our communities during this crisis." - Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards
"Small businesses and their employees are the backbone of Snohomish County's economy, and we are working hard to provide support during this tough time. Running a small business has never been easy and now that is true more than ever. For those who can, show your support for our small business owners and their employees by keeping your dollars in the local economy. We will get through this together." - Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers.
"It's imperative that we do all we can to support our community businesses and stick together. I'm excited for this chance to spread the word about Kenmore's restaurants offering takeout and help bring customers through their doors — thanks to Mayor Durkan and the City of Seattle for this partnership. Enjoy a great meal from a Kenmore restaurant soon!" - Kenmore Mayor David Becker
