Seattle Firefighters Rescue Man From Theater Rafters

A man was rescued Wednesday after suffering a medical emergency while in the rafters above the stage, according to Seattle Fire.

SEATTLE — Seattle fire crews worked quickly Wednesday morning to rescue a man from the rafters of the 5th Avenue Theatre. Firefighters were dispatched on a rope rescue response a few minutes before 11:30 a.m. on reports that a man suffered a medical emergency above the theater stage.

Crews were able to reach the patient within a few minutes and lowered him using a stokes basket to medics waiting on the stage below. After a preliminary evaluation at the scene, medics rushed the man to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition.
