SEATTLE — Another Seattle restaurant is under the national spotlight this year, with an up-and-coming fried chicken joint in Greenwood nabbing a spot on Eater's Best New Restaurants list. Eater writers and editors considered only restaurants that opened between Sept. 1, 2021, and Sept. 30, 2022, then narrowed their picks down to the 15 that staffers found most exciting across America.

The Chicken Supply, specializing in Filipino-inspired and gluten-free fried chicken, has quickly gained popularity since opening its takeout-focused shop on Greenwood Avenue last year, earning accolades from critics and diners alike.

"Never overly dry inside, the flavorful coating is perfectly crackly and light as air," Eater's Erin DeJesus writes. "Fried drumsticks and thighs are equally astounding, and it all sings when dipped into fragrant house-made banana ketchup. This is the kind of main-event chicken that you build an entire afternoon around eating."
