SEATTLE — One of the most boring parts of Zoom meetings with the work crew is that most of the attendees are usually regular old humans. Now, the Woodland Park Zoo is hoping to change that with a new program they've named "Call of the Wild."

Starting this week, residents can pay for a call and the zoo will add an animal and their keeper to your Zoom meeting.

The program offers a wide variety of animal callers, from mammals like Lucy the raccoon and Hudson the arctic fox, to birds like Modoc the turkey vulture or reptiles like Cimba the African fat tailed gecko.

The Woodland Park Zoo says the calls aren't just fun, they help support the zoo and its animals. The zoo says that since the coronavirus outbreak began they've needed veterinary teams on hand checking on the animals around the clock, and these calls will help pay for those teams and provide resources for urgent care.

You can find more about the Call of the Wild program on the zoo's website at zoo.org/callofthewild.
