BRIER, WA — This is almost equivalent to getting hit by lighting twice. Within two months. At the same location.

The tiny Brier Grocery store sold a $120,000 jackpot Hit 5 ticket on Aug. 7, and that follows a $12.2 million Lotto ticket sold there in July — and that was the biggest win for that game over the last decade.

Players have a one in 576,000 chance of winning the Hit 5 jackpot, according to Washington's Lottery. The odds of winning the Lotto jackpot are about one in 7 million.

"My car is more than 20 years old but it runs well! My husband is looking to buy me a new one. That’s the only splurge we’ll do. We’re very simple people, my husband and I always tease one another saying, ‘you’ll win one of these days.’ It finally happened!" the woman who won the $12 million jackpot told state lottery officials last month.

In case you want to try your odds, Brier Grocery is located at 23607 Brier Road, just north of Lake Forest Park.
