Great Lakes Championship Wrestling always makes sure fans have a great time. On Saturday, September 25, GLCW is making sure fans have a nice day by presenting a great night of wrestling action, along with special guest WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley.

GLCW is presenting Have A Nice Day, appropriately named in honor of Mick, on September 25 at 7:30 at Circle B (6261 State Hwy 60) in Cedarburg. Doors actually open at 5:30 though, for the Meet & Greet, featuring the hardcore legend and the other GLCW wrestlers.

Several matches already have been announced, including a special Grudge Match. The accomplished veteran faces the young up-and-comer. Wisconsin's own “Fanny Pack Kid” Kal Herro battles OVW's "Shotgun" Tony Gunn.

Debuting in 2007, the veteran Gunn is highly decorated, winning the OVW Heavyweight championship twice, the OVW Television title three times and the OVW Southern Tag Team championship twice.

Although the young Kal fairly recently started wrestling at OVW, he really has been training for this all his life. OVW is his first major step in that journey and he will give Gunn all he has.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Kal in May at the Squared Circle Expo. A longtime fan of GLCW, I have watched Kal grow up over the years. He's got the look, personality, skills and a big support system headed by proud papa David.

Also on the card is a GLCW Tag Title Match with The Express battling Dustin Jackson & TW3. There's also a match between Adam Grace and OVW'S Drew Hernandez and a Joey Avalon Open Challenge. Other wrestlers scheduled to appear are Angel Armani, Coby 2 Cool, Jordan Kross and more.

GLCW has been promoting wrestling shows and appearances in the midwest since 1997. I have been to many of their events (hence watching Kal grow up) and they are always a blast. GLCW is well-run start to finish.

I'm sure Mick would say the real stars of Have A Nice Day are the in-ring performers and he would be right, but Mama Foley's little boy is a legend. He's also one of the nicest people you would ever meet. Having him at Have A Nice Day is big.

On a related side note, Mick the author has written several fiction and non-fiction books. I highly recommend all of them. Many years ago, I was fortunate to talk to Mick at length about his books and his writing process.

Tickets are already on sale for Have A Nice Day and they are going fast. Front row seats are already sold out, but there are still seats in other rows, but don't wait long to purchase your seats. Be sure to add on the “Meet and Greet,” because that is always so much fun. GLCW gives fans plenty of time to meet all of the talent. At last year's GLCW Blizzard Brawl, there were 30 or so wrestlers and I met all of them and still had time to get food and relax before the show started. (I told you GLCW always runs things smoothly.)

Since I mentioned Blizzard Brawl and you'll already be buying tickets on GLCW's site, check out the Blizzard Brawl info. Scheduled for Saturday, December 4 at 7:30 PM (doors open at 5:30 PM) at the Waukesha County Expo Center, Blizzard Brawl is a “must-see” on my yearly calendar.

Have A Nice Day and Blizzard Brawl 2021 are a great way to end the year on a high note. There's fantastic in-ring action and fun pre-show interaction. Even the food is excellent.

I'll be updating and recapping both events right here. Have a nice day!
