Greenfield Fall Leaf Pickup Starts Oct. 10

The leaves are falling, and the yard tools will soon be calling. Here's when to rakes those colorful piles of fun to the road:

GREENFIELD -- Curbside leaf collection is provided annually in the fall by the Greenfield division of Public Works. Weather conditions can sometimes be a factor, but if all goes according to schedule, here's when to rake your leaves to the curb.

City officials say leaves need to be raked to the curb or road edge by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your designate pick up weeks. No leaves should be place out for pickup prior to the week of Oct. 3.

If you live in various aldermanic districts, your 3 weeks of pickup are as follows:

  • Aldermanic District 1: Oct. 10, 24 and Nov. 7.
  • Aldermanic District 2: Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 14.
  • Aldermanic District 3: Oct. 17, Oct. 31, Nov. 14.
  • Aldermanic District 4: Oct. 10, 24 and Nov. 7.
  • Aldermanic District 5: Oct. 10, 24 and Nov. 7.
