Occupation:

Director of an early childhood daycare center.

Place of residence:

Greenfield

Why I'm running for office:

As a resident of Greenfield since 2003 and having two children in the district since 2010 (currently in 8th and 4th grade), I feel that my familiarity with the Greenfield School District is a valuable asset. I have invested significant amounts of time in the District (through attendance at Board meetings, committee meetings, community events, and numerous school functions) and will continue to do so if elected.

Furthermore, I have 7 years elected (currently the President) experience on a Greenfield elementary school PTO. Additionally, I believe that I have a strong educational foundation that is beneficial to the district. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Secondary Education (Social Studies), as well as a Master's Degree in Early Childhood.

Finally, during my time on the Board, I have proven myself to be open-minded, honest, professional, and organized.

What are your top two priorities if elected:

In order to maintain our competitiveness with area schools, we need to focus on ways to attract and retain quality educators. Our children deserve the best!

Continuing to increase parent and family involvement in the District. When families are active and engaged in their child's learning, everyone benefits.
