Why are you running for school board?

As a parent of three children in the Whitnall schools, I want to make sure our community offers the highest quality education possible. I will ask important questions, follow-up on issues and concerns, and provide accountability as the district works toward its goals.

I support high standards, academic rigor, and financial responsibility to taxpayers. The district needs ongoing communication and involvement from all stakeholders. Great teachers are key to our students’ success.

As a board member, I will help the district stay focused on what's most important: our kids' growth and learning.

What are the top three issues facing the Whitnall school board?

We have to make sure that as education changes, we are giving our students a top-quality education with strong academics, practical life skills, and high-quality extracurricular activities.

Making sure that Whitnall students are fully prepared for college and careers is our number one priority.

Hiring and retaining top teachers, and making careful use of our time and money in the classrooms are also critically important.
