13 Injured, 1 Killed In Milwaukee Shootings Over The Weekend: Report

MILWAUKEE, WI —Fourteen people were shot, one fatally, in three separate shootings in the same Milwaukee neighborhood over the weekend, according to The Associated Press.

The first shooting occurred near 14th and Burnham streets around 11:45 p.m. Saturday, when six males and three females between the ages of 16 and 42 were gunned down, police told the outlet.

A 22-year-old Milwaukee man was arrested in connection with the shootings and all of the victims are expected to survive, the outlet reported.

The next shooting occurred near 13th and Mitchell streets around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, after which a 29-year-old woman, a 19-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and a 26-year-old man were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, according to WISN-TV Milwaukee.

A 22-year-old man was taken into custody and charges were pending, police said, according to the outlet.

Shortly after, at 9:45 p.m., a 56-year-old man was shot to death near 16th and Bruce streets—just a couple of blocks away from the previous shootings, police said, according to The Associated Press.
