MILWAUKEE — Winter weather waited until spring to arrive in Wisconsin.

A snowstorm is still on track to hit the state Thursday night/ Friday morning, but snowfall amounts will vary greatly depending on how much ends up just being rain. Another system is forecasted to arrive on Sunday.

"There is a high chance for accumulating snow Thursday night and Friday morning, which will likely impact the Friday morning commute," the National Weather Service said.

"The greatest impacts currently expected along/north of I-94, though latest model trends are shifting a bit southward. Exact amounts remain in question, with narrow bands of enhanced accumulations possible."

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 40. East wind 5 to 7 mph becoming southeast in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: A chance of snow before 1am, then rain and snow. Low around 32. Southeast wind 9 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday: Rain and snow before 4pm, then a slight chance of rain. High near 41. Breezy, with a southeast wind 8 to 16 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Blustery, with a north wind 13 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
