GLENDALE, WI β€” A Milwaukee police officer shot two suspects while he was pinned between two vehicles in Glendale on Friday after an attempted arrest turned violent, Milwaukee Police Chief Jeffrey Norman told reporters at a news conference Friday afternoon.

The officer shot and injured two men inside the car, an 18-year-old and a 22-year-old, as he was pinned between the two vehicles in the lot of a hotel near Port Washington and Green Tree Roads, according to Norman. Police were in the area alongside FBI task force officers around 11:55 a.m. when they attempted to approach "a suspect with multiple outstanding violent felony warrants" near the hotel, Norman said.

Officers spotted the suspect leave a hotel and enter a car with two other people, but as they approached, the suspects drove off, hit the officer, and pinned him against an unmarked police van, according to Norman.
