Red Bull Wake the City is set to ignite Milwaukee’s waterfront with adrenaline-pumping action on Saturday, August 31 at the Summerfest Grounds. Top professional wakeboarders will perform highly technical tricks across five unique features, competing in teams of two to impress judges with their style, creativity and execution. Known for its exhilarating showcases in Milan, Italy, this electrifying event makes its highly anticipated U.S. debut, promising to elevate wakeboarding entertainment with its blend of athleticism and entertainment.
Red Bull Wake the City will transform Milwaukee’s Summerfest grounds into a hub of excitement as Massi Piffaretti, Meagan Ethell and over 30 of the world’s top professional wakeboarders showcase their skills and highly technical tricks across five unique features. Competing in teams of two, participants will go head-to-head for the title of Red Bull Wake the City Champion, dazzling judges Maurizio Marassi, an athlete on the Italian national cable wakeboard team; Tom Fooshee, professional wakeboarder and producer and Oli Derome, former professional wakeboarder from Quebec, Canada with their style, creativity and technical prowess in wakeboarding.
The thrilling competition promises to unite the city for an exhilarating end-of-summer celebration. Red Bull Wake the City will feature a stellar lineup of hosts: long-time Red Bull wakeboarding athlete Parks Bonifay; Alexa Score, a professional wakeboarder and TV host, and Dano The Mano (Danny Amir), a professional towed watersports announcer and the host of The Golden Mic Podcast.
As anticipation builds and excitement spreads through the wakeboarding community, the first U.S. Red Bull Wake the City promises to be an unforgettable showcase of skill, innovation and thrill of the sport.
