Canoe Becomes One With Cubicle For Rentable Milwaukee River Experience

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukeeans will have a couple of unique (albeit a bit kitsch) options this summer to get their drinking in on a big peanut and their work in on a boat.

If the wheeled-Peanutmobile dive bar announced by Miller and Planter's on June 12 wasn't enough for you, or if it was a bit too landlubbing for your taste, you may be pleased to learn about Leinenkugel's new "canobicle."

The Wisconsin-based beer company announced their new invention on Wednesday as a "one-up" to the work-from-home lifestyle. The vehicle combines a canoe with a cubicle—hence the name—and features onboard wifi, an ergonomic seat, a built-in desk, waterproof speakers, watertight storage and a shade to keep the sun away.

The company is charging $16 for each canoe session, in honor of Summer Shandy's 16 years of being around. Each canoe rental also comes with a six-pack of Lienenkugel's hallmark lemony summer beer.

The new canoe-cubicle mashup, as well as the peanut mobile dive bar, both come from subsidiaries of Molson Coors, and both will be available for rent in July.
