Child Dies After Hit-And-Run, Milwaukee Man Arrested: Police

The child who was hit while riding a bike in Milwaukee on Sunday has succumbed to his injuries and a man was arrested, according to police.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The 11-year-old bicyclist who was hospitalized in critical condition after a hit-and-run on Sunday has died and a man has been arrested in connection with the case, Milwaukee police announced Wednesday.

Police said they recovered the vehicle that hit the child and arrested a 30-year-old man from Milwaukee. Charges are expected to be reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office.

The 11-year-old was riding his bike in the 4800 block of West Fond Du Lac Avenue Sunday afternoon when a vehicle hit him, police said. The vehicle then sped off eastward, according to police.
