Doors Open Milwaukee Returning In September With New Tour Locations
Several new locations will be available for tours when Doors Open Milwaukee returns in September, organizers said.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Doors Open Milwaukee, an event for people to explore Milwaukee's typically hidden and locked history within the city's many neighborhoods and buildings, is scheduled for Sept. 23-24, organizers said on Facebook.
The event is held by Historic Milwaukee, Inc., and several new locations are being added to the 2023 lineup.
This year, Doors Open has announced new locations including spots like The Garage at the Harley Davidson Museum, Reflo in Riverwest, Mitchell Street Arts, The Bertelson Building and Paloma Wilder Studio, The Milwaukee Art Museum Research Center and the Kellog Peak Initiative.

As Urban Milwaukee noted, the event features over 100 buildings that are typically closed to the public, with 130 buildings expected for 2023. Among the new locations is also the Federal Courthouse in Milwaukee, according to Urban Milwaukee.
The event is mainly free but organizers accept donations to keep it that way, and ticketed tour sales are available.

Tickets will be required but free for events like the City Hall Bell Tower, the Central Library's Rotunda Dome or underground, Jones Island and more.
