MILWAUKEE, WI — Odd Duck in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood became the first restaurant in the city to require patrons over 18 to show vaccination cards before entering.

Patrons will need to make a reservation, show vaccination cards before entering, and wear masks if they're not seated and eating, the restaurant said in a statement. Pictures of vaccine cards and state online records will be accepted as well, but a photo ID must accompany all proof of vaccination.

The measures followed a surge of COVID-19 cases in Milwaukee and are meant to reduce the risk to guests and staff, the restaurant said.
