Giannis Antetokounmpo Signs Large Extension With Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo is staying with the Milwaukee Bucks for the long haul.

MILWAUKEE β€” Giannis Antetokounmpo has agreed on a three-year, $186 million contract extension with the Milwaukee Bucks, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on X Monday night.

Antetokounmpo appeared to confirm the news on his own social media.

As reported, the deal means the 2021 Finals MVP will stay with Milwaukee through at least 2026. He will also have a player option to extend himself through the 2027-2028 season.

The Bucks selected Antetokounmpo 15th overall out of Greece in the 2013 NBA Draft. The "Greek Freak" went on to win multiple season MVPs and in 2021 helped the Bucks win their first NBA championship since 1971.
