The Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) hosts “The Changing Face of Aviation at Mitchell International Airport – Commercial & Air Cargo” on Friday, April 21, 2023, 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Event will be held at the Wisconsin Club, 900 W Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, Wis. A plated breakfast is served.

Steve Kohlmann, executive director of IBAW, said, “This month, Brian Dranzik, Mitchell International Airport Executive Director, will give us a look into how Mitchell is a vital connection for us and is poised to become a powerhouse hub for connecting people, packages and freight from around the world.”

Air travel is back on the rise from its post-Covid low, and air cargo has never been in more demand and continues to rise. While major airports like O’Hare continue to be a nightmare to get in and out of, smaller, easier-access airports such as Mitchell are popular alternatives to move people, freight, and packages.

Additionally, the booming Kenosha/Racine area is becoming more popular for industrial and high-tech companies like the recently announced $1 billion Microsoft plant.

Since 1973, the Independent Business Association of Wisconsin (IBAW) was formed for small business owners to engage in conversation relating to legislation impacting the bottom-line costs of businesses throughout Wisconsin. IBAW is a venue for high-level CEOs, CFOs, COOs, other upper management and entrepreneurs to network, exchange business ideas, and become educated and involved on issues which impact their business. IBAW is time well spent!
