The latest weather forecast shows rain on many Fourth of July parades in Wisconsin.

MILWAUKEE — Fourth of July firework enthusiasts may need to rethink their holiday plans. Showers and thunderstorms are set to blanket much of Wisconsin, including the Milwaukee metro area, on Thursday and Thursday night.

"Multiple chances for showers and storms this week, starting with late Monday into Tuesday and another round arriving Thursday," the National Weather Service said.

The rest of the Fourth of July weekend will feature additional chances for showers and thunderstorms.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 71. Light east wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of showers after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 62. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tuesday: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 79. South wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Tuesday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 69. South wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10am, then a slight chance of showers between 10am and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. West wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

July 4th: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the morning.

Thursday Night: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
