MILWAUKEE, WI — Maroon 5 is coming to Milwaukee on their "2020 Tour," and the bestselling group is bringing Meghan Trainor along for the show. Tickets are now on sale for the event at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater this August.

The venue is tucked on the south end of Milwaukee's Henry Maier Festival Park. The open arena is popular for concerts, and it also has an impressive capacity over 20,000. It has been a favorite location since it was built after an over-crowded Huey Lewis and the News concert in 1984.

Maroon 5 will be among the first to play here after the venue's two-phase renovation. Putting out hits since 2001, the American pop-rock band consists of vocalist Adam Levine, keyboardist and rhythm guitarist Jesse Carmichal, bassist Mickey Madden, drummer Matt Flynn, lead guitar player James Valentine, PJ Morton on the keyboard and multi-instrumentalist Sam Farrar.

Maroon 5’s debut album, “Songs About Jane,” led the group to a Best New Artist Grammy Award in 2005. Since then, smash singles include “Moves Like Jagger,” “Sugar,” and “Girls Like You” have made the band one of the world’s best-selling groups. Levine has moves like Jagger himself, and if last year’s Super Bowl is any suggestion, fans might catch a view of his six-pack on stage in Milwaukee.

The “2020 Tour” kicks off Feb. 1 in Miami and spans nearly 50 cities across the United States, Canada, and South American before wrapping in Tampa, Florida, in September. For much of the American leg, Maroon 5 will be joined by fellow stars Leon Bridges and Meghan Trainor. Bridges is an American soul singer best known for his hit, “Coming Home.” You know pop singer Trainor by her throwback 1950s and ’60s style music with hits like “All About That Bass” and “Lips Are Movin.”

Maroon 5 and Meghan Trainor will play at American Family Insurance Amphitheater on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets start at $65, and you can save 10 percent with the code “PatchTickets10” at checkout.
