Where To Find A Drive-Thru Holiday Light Show Around Greater Milwaukee

As the family settles in for a holiday weekend in Wisconsin, drive-thru light shows are one way to get out of the house while staying warm.

MILWAUKEE, WI β€” As families gather across the greater Milwaukee area for the holidays, they're sure to be on the lookout for events to keep everyone entertained.

One tradition for some around the holiday season is a drive-thru light show. There are multiple opportunities in southeastern Wisconsin to drive, walk and ride among a sea of special lights. Several are already open for the holiday season and are set to remain open until the new year.

Here are some drive-thru light show options in the greater Milwaukee area for 2022:

  • Winter Wonders Drive-Thru Holiday Light Display at Whitnall Park.
    • A 1.4-mile light show with over 1 million lights near the Boerner Botanical Arboretum.
    • Enter at the park's golf course, 6751 South 92nd Street, and form a line.
    • Open daily 5-9 p.m., including holidays, until Jan. 1
  • Candy Cane Lane in West Allis.
    • A West Allis neighborhood decorated for people to walk and drive through. Donations from onlookers go to Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer.
    • Hours vary, open until Dec. 25.
    • Located between 96th Street to 92nd Street and Montana Avenue to Oklahoma Avenue.
  • Country Christmas at The Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee.
    • A drive-thru trail of over 1 million lights. Some new displays in 2022 include a patriotic display, a memorial for the Waukesha Christmas parade and a new reindeer barn.
    • Open until Jan. 1.
    • 2810 Golf Road, Pewaukee.
  • Christmas Carnival of Lights at Jellystone Park resort in Caledonia.
    • A drive-thru light tour that also features booking for a giant Santa sleigh.
    • Located at 8425 HWY 38 Caledonia. Open until Jan. 1.
  • Wild Lights at the Milwaukee County Zoo.
    • A 1-mile walking path of lights and animal-themed displays.
    • You can visit animals Dec. 26-31 in the Aquatic and Reptile Center, Florence Mila Borchert Big Cat Country, and Elephant Care Center from 5:30-8:45 p.m. The zoo is also offering special tours on certain dates that can get you up close with a penguin or giraffe.
    • The zoo is located at 10001 West Bluemound Road.
