SOUTH MILWAUKEE, WI β€” A contract for the construction of new plaza facilities near 11th Avenue and Madison Avenue in South Milwaukee was approved by the city's Common Council during a meeting Tuesday, The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

The new open-air facilities are set to include restrooms, a pavilion and a covered stage, according to the report. The land has been used for the city's Farmers Market and is positioned near the statue of Da Crusher.

The project has been dubbed "Bucyrus Commons," the report says, and the total cost for the bid from Rasch Construction & Engineering was about $2.3 million.
