Counseling Works Opens New Office in Shorewood

SHOREWOOD — Counseling Works announces the opening of its newest office in Shorewood, marking the fourth location for the expanding mental health counseling group. The new Shorewood office is at 611 West Jefferson Street, Suite 201.

“We are thrilled to expand our mental health counseling services to the Shorewood community,” says Kristen Breese, LCPC, Founder, and CEO of Counseling Works. “Our goal is to make mental health care more accessible and to provide our clients with the tools they need to lead healthier and happier lives. This new office is a significant step towards achieving that goal.”

Founded in 2016, Counseling Works offers high-quality, client-centered mental health support and a wide range of therapeutic services for children, adolescents and adults, couples counseling, family therapy and group sessions. Licensed counselors and skilled therapists are experienced in addressing mental health concerns to help navigate the complexities of personal relationships, cope with the stresses of a demanding lifestyle or seek a deeper understanding of personal identity.

Counseling Works includes registered nutritionists and dieticians who provide nutrition counseling to safely approach eating disorder treatments and improve a client’s relationship with food by developing a personalized nutrition plan.

To celebrate the opening of the Shorewood office, Counseling Works will host an open house on Thursday, Sept. 5 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m.

The event will include office tours and an opportunity for community members to meet the therapists and learn more about the services offered. Light refreshments will be served.

The Shorewood office is now accepting new clients. Counseling sessions are available Monday through Friday 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and 8 a.m until 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, both in-person and via telehealth.

Most major health insurance plans cover all or part of mental health counseling services.
