Longfellow Middle School Evacuated Due To Gas Leak
Students at Longfellow Middle School were evacuated to City Hall after a gas line was struck near the school, causing the leak.
WAUWATOSA, WI — Summer School classes at Wauwatosa's Longfellow Middle School were canceled Monday morning after media reports indicated that there was a gas leak in the school.
According to a WISN 12 report, a WE Energies spokes person said that a congtractor struck a gas line near Longfellow Middle School, resulting in the gas leak.
Summer school classes have been canceled, and students were evacuated and staged at City Hall across the street for pickup by parents and trusted adults.
