The Historic Preservation Commission recently commissioned a City-wide intensive survey to identify residential properties of architectural and historical significance that are potentially eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places in the area generally described as west of the Menomonee River, Underwood Creek, Mayfair Road, and 92nd Street, and south, north, and east of the municipal boundaries. The survey findings will be presented Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at 4:30 pm via a virtual public information meeting. Representatives from the Wisconsin Historical Society and Legacy Architecture, the consulting firm conducting the survey, will be in attendance to provide survey details and answer questions.

Funding for this project was provided entirely by a Certified Local Government Subgrant from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior and administered by the Wisconsin Historical Society. See more information about two completed phases of the survey.
