Atlantic City High School graduate and Mississippi State rising sophomore Quanirah Montague was named to the 2023-24 First-Year Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-6 Montague appeared in 32 games for the Bulldogs as a freshman in 2023-24. She averaged 2.9 points and 2.44 rebounds. Montague made 36 of 70 shots. Mississippi State finished 23-12.

Montague led Atlantic City to the South Jersey Group IV and Cape-Atlantic League finals as a senior in 2023. She was The Press Girls Basketball Player of the Year, averaging 17.3 points, 12.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists. She finished with 1,006 career points.
Montague was one of 1,459 athletes in all sports honored by the SEC on Tuesday. Honorees must meet a number of qualifications, including have a minimum grade point average of 3.0.
