Community Events Highlights

Our community fundraisers have been busy. Whether it's a life-saving lemonade stand or a motorcycle ride to help fight cancer, no matter how they fundraise, they help Nemours Children's deliver the nation’s best care to kids.

Delaware Disc Golfers Host Annual Tournament

Delaware Disc Golfers hosted their annual tournament at the Nemours Estate this May, raising $6,300 for Nemours Children's Health.

Newark Center for Creative Learning Student Participates in The Big Give

A middle school student from the Newark Center for Creative Learning participated in The Big Give at her school and chose to fundraise for the Child Life Department at Nemours Children’s Hospital. Juliet hosted several small events in her community of West Grove, Pennsylvania. Through her collaborative efforts, she fundraised $2,568.75 and delivered the check along with a few donated supplies for the Child Life team in Delaware Valley.

Hear We Go Run/Walk and Family Fun Day

The Nemours Audiology Department hosted the annual Hear We Go Run/Walk and Family Fun Day in May. With a record-breaking number of participants, they fundraised over $25,000 to benefit clinical and research programs related to hearing loss and hearing conservation at Nemours Children’s Hospital in the Delaware Valley.

Third Annual Battle of the Brokers

The third annual Battle of the Brokers took place in April at the Bowlerama in New Castle, Delaware. While having fun bowling, this competitive group raised $24,000 for the Child Life Department in the Delaware Valley.

Osprey Point HOA Fundraiser

The Osprey Point HOA from Sussex Country, Delaware joined forces to collect $10,000 in support of the Child Life Team in the Delaware Valley. It is their hope these funds will be used to support patients and their families who call Nemours Children's their "home" this holiday season.
