Our mission is to help people breathe clean air. What the heck does “social enterprise” mean? It means we’re driven by social impact, not by profit. We are legally bound to achieving our social mission. we have no investors, no million-dollar marketing budget—just a small team of air breathers trying to make a difference.
#3 We write a lot about things we don’t even sell!
Except in a few small cases, we don’t actually sell a lot of what we sell. Then why the hell do we write about things like masks, trees and car air purifiers? Because our goal is to provide simple, informative information. No ulterior motive, that’s it.
#4 Smart Air won’t ask you to buy our products.
In fact, we’ll go as far as to tell you how to NOT buy by making your own. In fact, Smart Air founder Tom Talhelm hasn’t earned a dime from Smart Air. Instead, he set up Smart Air to help people breathe clean air and undermine the companies using misleading marketing to charge people thousands of dollars.

We invite all governments of the world: please put us out of business! If someday air pollution is so rare that no one needs a mask or a purifier ever again, we’d take a deep breath and go on enjoying all the other cool stuff in life that doesn’t involve air filters.
