Biography

October Ambrose is a leader at Ochsner Health System, where she leads a team as a Clinic Manager to provide seamless quality healthcare for patients in the West Bank region. After spending more than a decade as a human resources practitioner, October had a personal health scare that confirmed her passion to be closer to patients. October connected her experience and her passion through a commitment to patients, providers, and staff. She supports her team by removing barriers to patients receiving high-quality excellent care. October’s diversity of work includes the for-profit arena with Comcast Cable, quasi-government experience with The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and additional healthcare experience at Yuma Regional Medical Center. Her roles in various organizations and settings all contribute to her innovative problem-solving and critical thinking and ultimately led to a successful transition into operations with the support of her current organizational leadership.

October holds a BS in Human Resources Management and a MA in Human Development from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. She holds certifications as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Six Sigma Yellow Belt, and leadership program facilitation through Korn Ferry and Development Dimensions International (DDI).  October is a graduate of the Inaugural Women’s Leadership Academy at Loyola University New Orleans.

She enjoys spending time with her two children, as well as, exploring all that the city of New Orleans has to offer. She believes in giving back to the community as a volunteer with Celebration Church, Baton Rouge Aids Society (BRASS) and participates in community service projects with her Sorors of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
