Good variety of traditional Korean food including all the side dishes. The lunch deals are a nice assortment at a reasonable price.
I was a bit disappointed in the Dolsot Bibimbap because the rice never crisped up, but the ingredients were good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 19 feb. 2024
What a fun and delicious Korean restaurant. You order the large dishes in plates which comes with corn and fluffy eggs, similar to how you would get them in traditional Korean BBQ restaurants.
Our group ordered the seafood pancake, tteokboki, and bulgogi plate.
The seafood pancake was large and thick. The exterior was nice and crispy and the interior was thick and fluffy. Good flavor and filling.
I was pleasantly surprised by their tteokboki dish. We got medium spice and it was just right. They add in gyoza, chicken katsu, a boiled egg, and some bulgogi in addition to the rice cakes and fish cakes.
The bulgogi plate was a double order, and the flavor was fantastic! We ate family style from the dishes.
Everyone was very pleased and happy with this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17 dec. 2023
My friends and I came to Ta Bom after work around 5. We got their boneless chicken wings and the grilled chicken. Everything was tasty and the corn cheese works well together with the entire meal.
Service was standard. Great place to share dinner with friends in casual environment. Would come again!Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - frenchfriesVancouver, Kanada0138 sep. 2024
Probably the worst restaurant service I've experienced in Vancouver. My friends were overcharged 3x the amount we were supposed to pay. We didn't realize at first and walked out of the restaurant until one of the waitress chased after us, claiming our bill got switched up and we were supposed to pay EVEN MORE. That's when I checked the bill and realized how much they overcharged us. The 6 of us only ordered 1 hot plate and fried rice which should only come up to around $10/person ($12.5 including tip), but they charged us almost $29/person. What's even more suspicious is that the waitress typed in an extra $0.42 charge each for 2 of my friends. I asked the waitress about it and she simply left us standing and went to who seemed like her manager, making us wait for 20+ minutes without bothering to explain the situation to us or even apologize, which should be basic manners; many employees walked pass us and none of them offered us to sit down or anything! No one approached us and we had to be the ones to take the initiative to walk to the cashier and ask what happened, only to be told literally one word: "Wait", again without any explanation or apology. Up till the end, all they did was refund us by cash and still had the audacity to charge us 18% SERVICE TIP (without asking us about it) after dealing with the situation so poorly. They didn't even let us bring home a copy of the receipt when we asked. On top of that, the manager did not ONCE apologize to us or even LOOKED at us while we were in front of his face in the cashier. The waitress who made the mistake only said sorry once at the end and that was it. We understand that people make mistakes, but the way they handled it was very unacceptable. Never coming back to this terrible place again! For those of you who want to try Tabom, make sure to check your receipt before leaving the place.

I really wanted to try Korean food in Vancouver. Since I was near the area and we couldn't find anything that was readily available besides Ta Bom, we decided to come here for dinner. We ordered the beef bulgogi hot plate, japchae, and seafood pancake. This was a lot of food to share between two people, so we were definitely struggling.
I like that each person gets their own banchan plate, so we don't have to share with other people. I love how the hot plate had corn, cheese, and steamed egg around the beef bulgogi. The seafood pancake was very fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The japchae was good too. I think we should've swapped the japchae out for a bowl of rice to share. We also ordered two bottles of flavored soju to share.
The food here was pretty good. The service was okay. The restaurant seems to lack ventilation since it started to get pretty warm inside. They have an outdoor seating area as well.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 15 jan. 2024
Came here as a group of 5 and we ordered just enough food, for a reasonable price. The only thing we weren't too thrilled about was that the Bossam doesn't come with lettuce; $5 for lettuce. Everything else was great! Got the tteokboki, bulgogi stone bowl, seafood soondubu. Perfect for sharing and spacious booth tables!

Came here on a thursday night with 5 people. Got seated very quick. We noticed the restaurant had no AC and it was a very warm summer night, so just have that in mind if you come here in summer. Very friendly staff, they helped us out with what to order. We got the bibim naengmyun, beef bulgogi hot plate and the honey baaaam chicken. The hot plate was alright I would give it a 3/5. I really liked the honey baaaam chicken and the naengmyun! The noodles were chewy and saucey. The chicken had so much flavour and also different 6 dipping sauces.
Will definitely be coming back again!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 4 juli 2023
I like this place for their service and uniqueness. I ordered a Korean bbq plate with spicy pork belly. It comes with corn cheese, steamed eggs and your typical side dishes. They server will cook for you so if you usually get social anxiety I wouldn't come here.
The food itself is decent. The corn cheese and steamed eggs are both really good. I didn't really like the pork belly because the sauce was too salty.
I think I would definitely come back and try a different hot plate.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 29 juni 2023
Pretty unique Korean BBQ/hot plate place. Great atmosphere and service - they are pretty patient with you knowing most people don't know the concept.
The key thing are the hot plates - they serve partially cooked meat and veggies on a hot plate served over a grill in the middle of the table. You have to wait 10 min or so for it to finish, in the mean time you can have banchan and rice and other things you order on the side.
The meat and veggies mix is really good. It goes so well with rice and corn and cheese.
We added noodles which mixed with the grill is great.
The chicken is also very well presented. Dipping sauces on the sides. Slightly dry but sauces are great.
Would definitely come back, want to try pork belly and other meats.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
