How much would you pay for used contact lenses that have seen your favorite artist live? Yes, you read that correctly.
That is the question that Swifties are asking themselves after an Eras Tour attendee recently put her contact lenses up for sale for a "massive" amount. The used contact lenses are being sold for just over $1,400 (€1,300) in what Mirror has referred to as "a joke at the expense of dedicated Swifties who will fork out cash on anything the star has been near."
The original post has since gone viral on X and features a picture of the expensive lenses in addition to a note letting followers know that they can pm the account owner for sale details.
Since the start of Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in 2023, fans have attempted to sell expired tickets, and even "authentic concert air" among other interesting for-sale items. Instead of drawing attention to the ridiculousness of the price tag, fans commented on the post in support of the sale, stating that they wish they'd thought of the idea first!
"I should have done this with mine instead of dump them," one Swiftie wrote on X. Another commented on the missed opportunity expressing, "wait i should’ve saved mine i just chucked em…"
The "Karma" songstress is slated to take the stage in Amsterdam tonight as part of a three-date run of shows at the Johan Cruijff Arena with Paramore.
