CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WWBT)—Chesterfield Police arrested a man for arson in connection with a house fire last month.

Just before 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 23, Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews responded to a call for a house fire in the 6000 block of Manor House Trail.

The first firefighters to arrive on the scene found heavy smoke and fire on all three floors of the home.

The house suffered significant damage and was considered a total loss.

The flames also melted the siding on a neighboring home.

On Thursday, Sept. 12, police charged Kamren Antonio Chandler, of Richmond, with one count of arson related to the house fire.

Chandler is being held at the Chesterfield County Jail without bond.
