Bite Beauty must have made a new year's resolution to really branch out in 2020. Known for being focused on lips — with products like the best-selling Lip Crayon in countless colors and the now-vegan Agave Lip Mask — Bite recently launched its first complexion products, including a primer, pressed powder, and foundation in more than 30 shades. And now it's joining with Parade for an unexpected but entirely awesome underwear collaboration.
Founded by two 22-year-olds and committed to sustainability, Parade and its recycled nylon underwear may not seem like an obvious partner, but Bite's senior vice president and general manager, Laure de Metz, would beg to differ. "Like Parade, we are all about embracing bold color and can’t-stop, won’t-stop wear, no matter your (lip) shape," she said in a statement. "Our partnership with Parade embraces our mission of self-expression and will be brought to life via both brands’ vivid colors and bold identities."
And how exactly will they do that? With underwear and Lip Crayon pairings, of course. The collection will offer three duos: Parade’s new Bite Brief with the Acai Smash Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon, the Cherrybomb Thong with the Red Velvet Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon, and the Balloon Thong with the Negroni Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon. The underwear in each duo is available in sizes XS to 3X, and as you may already know if you're a Bite Beauty fan, the shades look incredible on everyone.
"Partnering with Bite was a natural extension of our full-spectrum world because makeup is the ultimate personal expression," Parade cofounder and CEO Cami Téllez said in a statement. "Together, this collection of three lipsticks speaks to what our customer wants today — beautiful, ethical, and personal self-expression."
That self-expression carries over into the collaboration's campaign, beautifully shot by photographers Stevie and Mada. The inclusive cast features drag queen West Dakota and models Sam Swan and Roseline Lawrence wearing the underwear and the lip colors in stunning shades of red, pink, and purple.
The Parade x Bite Beauty collection launches Wednesday, January 22, with each duo selling for $32 on yourparade.com.
