It's that time of year when I start to seriously contemplate getting braids because I'm tired of trying to style my own hair. I've felt tempted to commit to braids a few times, but after seeing Taraji P. Henson's latest braided style, I'm seconds away from setting up my own hair appointment.
Henson showed out with her braided hair and a multicolor checked dress for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on October 3. From the front, you can see a few box braids were braided together to frame her face, and the ends of this section of hair cascaded to her hips. It looked like the braids were crisscrossed over each at the front before they were secured into the high ponytail that grazed her butt. You can see a second plait falling behind her ear on the opposite side.
This ponytail looks impressive enough from the front, but when you see it from the side, you can truly appreciate every inch of these braids. A few of those medium-size box braids were braided together and left falling over the side of her head in a thick braid. It appears that some of the braids may also have been wrapped around the base of her ponytail.
Truthfully, I want Taraji to give us a 360-degree look at this hair because I need to know exactly where and how her braids were twisted, rolled, or braided, so I can attempt to re-create this gorgeous hair moment.
