We know acne is a pain, but take solace in the fact that it happens to everyone. Zoë Kravitz has a great hack for breakouts, Pete Davidson deals with cystic acne, and Hailey Bieber even admits to popping husband Justin Bieber's pimples. And if you want a really great example of keeping a positive attitude about acne, take Yara Shahidi, who fully flaunts the treatment process and even celebrates it with a dance.

Earlier this week, the actor shared a video on her Instagram in which she's dancing while marinating her blemishes with an acne spot treatment.

Hanging out on a sidewalk, Shahidi danced and sang along to Frank Ocean's song "Self Control" while wearing a blue hoodie and shorts, a messy bun, and a spot treatment on her forehead. She captioned the photo, writing, "JOY (feat. Benzoyl peroxide on my face) ⚡️ " and asking fans to comment with a song that makes them feel that way. The comment section flooded with lots of great song recommendations, but we can't stop admiring the fact that she's wearing a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment in broad daylight.

In case you are unfamiliar, benzoyl peroxide is an acne-fighting ingredient that has been around for ages. Benzoyl peroxide is often found in cleansers, moisturizers, and in this case, spot treatments. It has the ability to destroy bacteria in acne but also works as an anti-inflammatory to decrease inflammation on the skin.

Shahidi isn't the first celebrity to show her acne-treating tricks on social media. Kristen Bell recently posted a 40th-birthday selfie wearing a pimple treatment, and Mindy Kaling has also posted her zit-cream selfies on Instagram, too.

There may still be a lingering stigma against acne, but we admire Shahidi's boldness in showing hers off with an adorable, positivity-packed video.
