I have the previous version of this toothbrush (the black one in the photo) so I will do a comparison. The good: This one (white) is slightly more quiet. It seems to pulsate a little more for a slightly better clean but doesn't fell harsh. It's also noticeably lighter. Some people complain that its hard to turn on and off. I agree that a bit more pressure is required to press the button and for some this may not be ideal but for the vast majority of people it won't be a problem. Because the button is recessed it makes it great for travel because there is little chance the brush will turn on by itself while in a suitcase or backpack which is something Ive had issue with with the previous model. Just like the previous model the sound of the toothbrush changes if you press down too hard while cleaning letting you know to ease off. Timer works the same as previous version, 30 second intervals and 2 minutes.One odd thing is that the Amazon version has 3 cleaning modes (regular, sensitive, whitening), while this same Pro 1000 model with the exact same price in some local stores in Canada only has 1 cleaning mode. Can't explain it as the model number, box, price and look of the toothbrush are the exact same. You don't need to cycle through the modes to turn it off, you can simply hold the button for two seconds. The price is also reasonable for what you get especially if you get it at a slight discount.The bad: The grip like other reviewers mentioned. Its very slippery unlike the grip on the previous version which had a soft rubber portion on the front of the handle and the back had protruding lines. I really need to hold the grip tight in order for it not to start slowly sliding down especially when wet. Oral b definitely needs to improve the grip in their next update of this toothbrush. My guess is they saved money by making a very simple plastic grip but didn't think how it would affect the experience of using it. It's not a deal breaker but it's certainly a bit annoying. The battery is the same as the previous model, nickel metal hydrate. I read to extend the battery life the toothbrush should not be always charging. Wish the battery was lithium ion which has a longer lifespan and can go longer between chargers.

I bought this to supplement a older Oral B Pro 1000 that I bought a while back. It's the single speed white handled version that has the older styling. I got this so I could fully run down the battery on 1 and then use the other while the first 1 is charging.

The Pro 1000 brushes well, BUT it's definitely overkill. I have owned a Vitality and Pro 500 in the past, and got the Pro 1000 to see if it was that much better. Both versions of the Pro 1000 are only slightly faster than the Vitality or Pro 500 - the only way you would notice is if you used both side by side, and trust me that your mouth & teeth will feel just as scrubbed fresh & clean with either the Pro 1000 or Pro 500.

The only difference is the Pro 1000 has a bit longer battery life. But if you're at home most of the time and not travelling on business, who cares? Get the Pro 500 over the Pro 1000, it's definitely not worth it! Or even better, get the Equate Infinity brush at Walmart for $23 plus tax. I bought my partner one, and tried it myself, and it's every bit as good as the Oral B Pro 500. It's got the same battery life as the Pro 1000, brushes just as fast as the Pro 500 does, takes genuine and generic Oral B brush heads, and has a 2 minute timer. Disadvantages are you only get 1 brush head, it doesn't have the 30 second quad pacer timer that reminds you to move the brush around in your mouth, and the Equate Infinity has no warranty. It's also made in China by Ranir. But guess where the components like the battery and motor likely come from in Oral B brush handles? CHINA! And they likely don't give a warranty because they know most consumers will abuse the battery and overcharge it - but you have Walmart's 30 day return policy if it's defective. And no matter which brush handle or company you buy from, DON'T make the mistake of buying the genuine Oral B heads! The generic knockoffs sold here and on AliExpress are every bit as good and last just as long, for a lot less money.

This was my third oral B electric toothbrush. It works really well, holds a charge well, travels well and it easy to change the head. I like the pink colour as well. Maybe TMI, but I have perfect dental appointments every 6 months. Be aware the replacement head can be pricey. I usually wait until they are on sale at Costco.

I bought this as a replacement for an older model that failed, due to a switch problem, I think. This one is a little more advanced but quite similar. I like it pretty well, but have two minor complaints: (1) It slips in my hand while brushing, since the handle is quite smooth, unlike my old one, which had a textured surface. (2) The on/off switch is a bit odd.; just a quick jab turns it on, as expected, but it took me a while to discover that a jab won’t turn it off—I have to hold the button down for maybe a second. At first, I thought the switch was defective, and almost sent it back.

So, I purchased this Oral B Pro 100 Series Model Type 3791 toothbrush per my dentist's advice. I had bought a few cheap one's at my Dollar General, and they would stop working. It was worth the $50. You can recharge it, which is handy. It works MUCH better than the cheaper one's I got from the Dollar General. My teeth are looking better, despite the cavities and such. As far as the Bluetooth connectivity, I had no idea this toothbrush could connect to anything via Bluetooth. I didn't see it mentioned in the manual. As far as the timer function goes, basically, the brush head just starts operating erratically to notify you that you brushed a quadrant of your mouth for long enough. I've noticed that you can press to hard, and get similar results though. They recommend brushing for two minutes, assigning 30 seconds to each of the 4 quadrants within your mouth. So, it's a great, electric, deep cleaning tooth brush. However, I wouldn't know about the Bluetooth feature if I didn't do this review and the timer function was likely improved upon when they updated the model, I would hope.

Oral-B Pro 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush has not disappointed me. I’ve had my own since 2019. It still functions beautifully. The one thing I’ve noticed is the battery charge doesn’t last as long as it did when it was new. I could go 2 weeks or more without charging. Now it’s about 1 week & I need to charge. I do brush morning & night for the full 2 minutes. I love everything about it. I don’t have sensitive teeth thus my teeth can handle the deep cleaning it provides. I really don’t recommend this if you do have sensitive teeth as I feel it would be too harsh. The timing function works wonderfully for it tells me when to move onto the next area of my mouth. ••To prevent a yukky mess that drips down I have learned 2 things: I thoroughly run water under the brush while it’s running to fully clean it. This, however, doesn’t prevent yuk from your brushing from forming down where the brush head meets the toothbrush. I became tired of a toothbrush that had dried toothpaste on it even though I thought cleaning the head was enough. Unfortunately the yuk does collect at that area & begins the mess. To prevent that I do now take the head of the brush every time I use it now. I just sit in to side in a dry cloth. Hence a clean brush.
Since my purchase I’ve purchased 2 more. One for my husband who was told by his Dentist he needed an electric toothbrush because he was developing gingivitis. He loves it because it’s so easy to brush now. The toothbrush does all the work. At first he was doing the brushing & ruined the head a little. So a reminder this does the brushing for you. You only need to move the brush around your mouth. Since having mine I haven’t had one cavity. One thing my hygienist did mention when I first got it was I wasn’t getting high enough to my upper gums. Now I make sure I do. I also purchased one for my 15yo Son as his Pediatric Dentist said it was okay & recommended that he start early with an excellent choice in toothbrushes. For $50- the price hasn’t changed since 2019 - this is well worth getting. For multiple reasons as I feel I thoroughly cleans my teeth. Once I began using this my mouth felt clean & fresh & it does every time I use it. I also feel using an electric toothbrush has saved $ I’d be spending on dental bills. The cost always swayed me away from making the purchase but I’m glad I did. Obviously since mine still works since 2019 there’s definite genuine quality with Oral-B. The box does state it comes with a 2 year limited warranty & there is a 60 day risk free trial. The paperwork details are in the box. For all I’ve written I highly recommend this Oral-B electric toothbrush & I don’t feel you’ll be disappointed. ••I do not purchase genuine Oral-B brush heads. Great electric brush but still need to do it gently without applying any pressure as the pressure sensor works without signaling any light or sound. Besides due to rarity of electric brush models it may come with international charger (like USA) which won't work in India.
Solution- buy another oral-b vitality 100 to make it work.
