I really wasn’t sure I wanted a kindle as I have a tablet and a smart phone all with the kindle app. However, having invested in a kindle I’m now a convert. The paper white is lightweight (far lighter than a tablet) and I like the page colour as it’s not overly bright like a smartphone - which I felt was giving me blind spots in my eyes when reading. I like the fact that I can increase the text size so reading has become much more comfortable to do. I also like the fact that I can read and turn pages with ease and without my arms aching - especially in bed or at the table whilst having a coffee/food. The ads only appear on the home screen and not whilst reading the book - something I was worried about when I bought the ads included version. This kindle fits in my smallish handbag so I can take it with me. There’s a back light on the screen to help read at night but it’s more comfortable to read from that a smartphone or tablet and of course no distractions from any smartphone notifications. Yes I recommend this. Looking forward to taking it on holiday to use by the pool.
