I decided to switch from my Kobo Sage to this Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition, mainly because the battery life of my Kobo just wasn't up to scratch. In that respect, this Kindle is fantastic. It's been almost 4 months of owning the device and I've only charged it 4 times- and I use the device for at least 2 hours 7 days a week.
I also love the fact that Stuff Your Kindle days allow me to buy tons of books for free. Those two aspects make the device worth the switch for me.
The user interface, font customization options, and lack of page turning buttons are not as good as on the Kobo, but they are outweighed by the other aspects.
This device is comfortable enough to hold with the additional purchase of a grip (E.g. Popsocket or strapsicle). I don't think that the Signature Edition is necessary for everyone, including myself, because I don't use the wireless charging feature, I don't really notice the auto-adjusting brightness, nor will I ever fill 32 GB with ebooks.
Overall though, I'm very pleased with the purchase and decision to switch.
