I have been looking for a decent body groomer for some time now.
I was reluctant to pay the £90 price tag that this was at the time I bought it, So I continued to use a standard hair trimmer/shaver until the price dropped a little.

I ended up paying £64.60 and to be honest it was a pretty good buy. It is a little noisy when using the foil shaver end but once you get used to it, It cuts pretty close.

I was pretty disappointed in the title of the amazon advert as it included "corded or cordless use" when I bought it (it's since been removed), Which was the defining moment in me buying it, I figured when the battery reaches end of life I can still use it with the charge cord attached win-win,
However after trying to run it with the charge lead in and failing then looking over the philips site it turns out that product(s) which are advertised as being water-proof will not operate with the power lead plugged in. (pretty stupid feature I mean who would be daft enough to jump in the shower with a live power lead)...

Which brings me on to my next point, this thing is not really good for using in the shower it struggles to cut as clean with wet hair as they tend to stick to your body, Given the choice I would of preferred a none water proof unit that allowed power pass-through (operation with power lead attached).

This unit is fine for trimming/shaving the meat and two veg, Just be careful and use the foil shaver side, as the two trimmers at either side of the foil are smaller and a little more blunt then a regular hair trimmer, With a little patience/practice you can finish up knick-free. Don't remove the guide and try with the hair shaver side those teeth are designed from shark teeth in my opinion. (it also increases in sound considerably as it cuts through that type of hair, foil-end)

Battery life is pretty impressive I bought this unit maybe a month ago now, Used it on my chest+back (foil end) with a little help on my back/underarms (11mm trim)/arms (11mm trim)/down south (foil end) and its still not needed a recharge.
I also own the philips Series 7000 12in1 trimmer MG7735/33 (who thinks of these stupid names) and the charge lead is the same on both of these units.

Not sure what else to say, It has a premium feel to it even though its plastic it has a brushed metal effect, The rubber handles give a nice amount of grip.
Compared to the hair trimmer I've used for some time, this certainly feels like a step up and in the right direction (much safer too).

Don't forget to register your unit on the philips website for a 20% discount code to use on the site (I used it to buy a replacement foil-head for when this one needs replacing).
Good to have a spare one ready and it knocks a few quid off, making it a little less then it costs buying on here.

I hope this review helps you in some way. Stay safe!

5.0 out of 5 stars Philips Series 7000 - Below the neck body groomer BG7025/13. Good buy but not without faults.
