Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I’ve used auto top up for a long time, but unfortunately, I’ve decided to cancel it today, because of too many mistakes by Amazon.
Negative’s My main complaint, is about the auto renew, so for example when the balance is set to Auto Renew at £10. On numerous occasions it’s said in bright Red “review payment method” or “use alternative payment method” or words to that effect. But there’s never once been anything wrong with the payment method or the balance of the bank account, that the money is taken from. So this is what happens, I go to review it, checking the details are correct, I then press confirm (on the same payment method it wouldn’t take previously) and on quite a few occasions it then says “review payment method” Again! I then delete the details and enter the same ones again, but once again on numerous occasions, It’s taken the rewritten one and a few minutes later, it taken the very first one that it said needed reviewing! So Amazon then get’s TWO payments, instead of just the One. This is annoying, a waste of my money and my time, especially when the whole idea behind this is to Save Time. As a Subscribe & Save customer, having my balance at a useable level is important, BUT not when at times, money is sitting in Amazon’s Bank Account for a full month. It's a shame that this has happened, but when necessary I will be manually topping up my Amazon account balance from now on.
*Amazon Please look at this, I’ve previously contacted you about it and despite promises, nothing has been done. Every customer deserves to have their money dealt with Securely and definitely not to have EXTRA money taken out of their bank without their permission*. If anyone else has had this problem, then please contact Amazon, at least if others complain, then it can’t be called an isolated incident,
Positives The idea itself is great, when it works and I would recommend it to anyone who uses Subscribe & Save, or who buys something every month. But would advise everyone to use the manual Top Up Method, at least you’re then in full control of the amount added to your Amazon balance.
Thanks for reading this and hope it’s been helpful.
