Good quality razor with a lot of attachments. Trimmer length adjustment is a poor design

This is overall and excellent razor and comes with a whole bunch of attachments - far more versatile than any other I have owned. Battery life is good too and charge time is fast - no faults there.
The design of the trimmer length adjustment is a bit poor. If you have a beard and regularly need to set it to different lengths for different parts of your face, you may finds the slider a bit imprecise and seeing what number (mm length) it's set to is hard to see. You also need to swap out the appropriate attachment to switch between shorter lengths and longer lengths, which is annoying. Other shavers manage this much better with a slide adjustment.
Comes with a bag to keep all the numerous trimmer accessories in one place, but this means a bit of a lucky dip when you want to find the one you need - a better case would be a bonus.
Very quiet and quite small, so along with the long battery life it makes it perfect for travel.

Body trim attachment will cut you

Decent quality product, easy to change the various cutting heads and comfortable to hold. Waterproof so ideal for using in the shower and the face trimmer cuts well leaving very short stubble. The 2 negative points I have found though - The short trim guard clogs up easily making it a chore to keep removing it and rinsing after each pass. The worst thing though is the body hair trimmer has a foil cutter flanked by 2 trimmer bars which nip and cut any flesh that they come into contact with. My last body trimmer from an unknown brand set the benchmark with an easy to use and safe trimmer head that never drew blood. Unfortunately that product is no longer available or I would have had another one of those. A massive company like Braun should be able to do better. If you just want a facial hair trimmer this is a great tool but I would avoid if you're looking for a full body trimmer.

Nice strong motor on this one, charges to full in about 30 mins to give 100 mins of use. Nice selection of attachments for different lengths of hair cut, beard trimming, and a round one for those unsightly nose hairs. There's a foil one too for chest and a narrow one for fine work. I have another machine but it's mains operated and having no cable just makes everything that much easier. I'm very happy with this, my barber won't be so happy. One little snag is that the hair tends to cling to the blade so you have to stop and brush it off every now and then. That's only a small thing though and probably common to other clippers. I would recommend this to anyone, well worth the money, and they throw in a new Gilette hand razor with two blades with it. Big thumbs up from me. 👍

Well firstly the only downfall of the Braun mgk5280 is it does not come with a UK charger its comes with an EU one.
So when I received it I wasnt even able to try it but luckily I had a uk adaptor.
So now down to the testing so needed a quick 5 minute charge as it was completley dead when i received it.
So after a quick 5 minute charge I attached 1 of the attachment heads,powered it on and away I went ,beard came off very quick and easy and never clogged the head up like many other electric shavers I've used.
(Attachments are also very easy to put on.)
Left my skin feeling very soft afterwards.
Now based on what I've used it for so far I'd score it an 8/10

It's a great product with it's sleek design.
It comes with for various attachments for different parts of the body..
It feels solid and seems it will last for a while.
The only downfall is that it did not come with a UK charger but luckily these can be brought cheaply enough.

Good for a trim in the shower

FYI it comes with a charging cable that relies on a UK shaver socket- not euro or UK standard plug. That’s fine for me as I have one of these in the bathroom and bought a cheap adapter ages ago anyway. Worth knowing if you don’t have easy access to a shaver socket.
Anyway, so far so good. The battery has happily let me trim my beard in the shower a few times without dying on me- and I find it much less messy than trying to get all the trimmed hair in the sink.
I’ve given the other attachments a quick go and they all seem to work ok, but I’ve not tried them more than once.
It also comes with a Gillette wet shave razor which I’m sure is fine but I haven’t used yet. (I have a long supply of blades for my existing razor since I only use it when I want to look extra neat round the edges.
The beard trim attachment is ok although it took a couple of goes to adjust the length without over-adjusting- not a problem.
The carry bag is also useful for keeping all the attachments together (otherwise let’s face if they’re gonna get lost in a week.)
All in all, so far so good: it hasn’t broken and trims my beard more than adequately. Nice.

For a while I've needed a fully functional all in one trimmer, one that can do hair, beard and all other hair types a man is blessed with! Came across this on a deal and felt like it was worth taking a punt.

I've used a Phillips Oneblade for over a year now on my beard but wanted something that felt more powerful.

This machine literally does it all, I've cut my hair a couple of times using it, I've trimmed and styled my beard, removed some hair from inside my nose. It really does it all with such ease, changing the connectors is easy and it's really fool proof.
