Best Back Shaver Ever

I bagged this for £44, this is a huge improvement on a similar model by Phillips that I had for over a decade. I'm absolutely amazed how smooth and efficiently it cuts. I've owned a few back extending body groomers as well as an older Philips model I mentioned and they've always irritated my skin to an extent.

Absolutely no irritation at all and Phillips are true to their word. This is a really nice product and worth every penny. Having a lithium battery means it's very fast charging and will tolerate a bit of abuse. I imagine this will last many years and a nice modern twist that you can plug it into a usb phone charger

Looks good I haven’t used it yet, red light flashing when you turn on. Not only that this product is expensive for the price it should come in a case to store once you finish using it. Mine came in a box which wasn’t even sealed so I hope it hasn’t been used.

Positives- Let me just say I’m excessively hairy front and back. I used to get a friend to apply hair removal cream on my back. Excellent results, but incredibly messy and time consuming, not to mention the smell. The body groomer charges fully in about an hour, I usually get 2/3 uses at around 20x minutes a time from it before a recharge is required. I find it a great product and easy to use. I can now shave my own back without assistance huge plus.

Negatives- the body groomer won’t shave to zero like a razor or anything like hair removal cream, I didn’t expect it to. However it shaves closely. This is good enough for me. You will need to be patient and do many passes to trim down sufficiently. After your first attempt you will become more efficient at shaving and it will take less time. I don’t recommend anyone using this groomer who has a excessively spotty back. I only went over one spot, then blood dripping down my back!!

Overall- a good product, the only real answer I can see to trim ones own back and not involve others. Product is expensive to my mind and the price has fluctuated a lot in the last year or so. I bought a damaged box item, other than box damaged as stated item is perfect as far a I can see. When you get used to it, you will be glad you bought it. My only wish is that it would shave even closer.

Have had so many trimmers and clippers, so many to do different job and so many to do all in one, however they have all been hit and miss, mostly miss.
First off, the Philips body groomer is really comfortable to hold. With double edge cutting comb and central foil, you get a good clean performance. This kit comes with a handle to assist in trimming hair off your back. The handle is foldable with locking feature. The trimmer fits securely into position and provides good reach to the back. even if you do not have the best shoulder mobility, the handle helps to reach the back rather easily.
The cutting performance is excellent. Cuts hair with ease. The cutting edges are safe and does not nip on skin, which means, down below it's safe and very effective.
The kit comes with three extra combs for different depth. Great price considering the kit and performance.

I would have given this product a 5-star review, if the video they show was actually accurate, but 4 stars it is.
let me premise this review with the following, (1) never used a body Hair trimmer before (2) was not expecting the results I got from this is trimmer, (3) I'm quite a hairy person.
so first, the battery life lives up to expectations A+, cannot fault the battery life.
The waterproof feature A+ works well in the wet and dry.
I was expecting the trimmer to just trim hair, not completely remove it, on that front I was pleasantly surprised. However, the video shows that a single pass along the hair removes all the hair, this is blatantly NOT TRUE, it takes some effort to remove the hair, and had to do 4-5 passed over the same area before the hair was removed. if I was Philips, I'd remove that video and put some more true/accurate. The back hair extender is a little flimsy, didn't always get the angle needed, and sometimes it locked out of position, but got the job done more or less. the cradle did keep the trimmer secure and the trimmer never came out once. so, to summarize, more or less happy with the trimmer, does require some welly to get the job done. I did research alternate trimmers/ blades and came to conclusion this was the best solution without cutting up my skin. I hope to use this trimmer for the next few years, also Philips offered an extra year warranty when u register the product online. so, an extra bonus there.

I brought one of the original ones before this and it was very good. The power on this is good no doubt. The closeness is acceptable and the appearance is nice clean and sleek. The downside is if you’re a hairy chap like me and your sessions are over half an hour there is a chance the battery will go down heavily which is the only reason it’s 4 not 5

I will echo someone's comment on here that they still got a slight nick whilst using this, but certainly nothing to complain about too much, as overall, my experience so far using this has been good.
