Nothing but problems with this device, initially the device microphone range was so limited other echo devices 20 metres away (in bedrooms) were instead responding to commands instead of the show 10.
Next the microphone actually stopped working after a couple of days, needing a power off and on to fix it then issue would resurface. No solutions.
Next the device started to stall and touch response slowed this week.
Got sick of this asked for a replacement given the touch response was up to 2 minutes and big loud cracks coming from it and screen artefacts even when it showed something.
The motion tracking is horrible, firstly it cannot track without the camera always on which is a privacy issue, and when it tracks when you go up to the screen to touch it, the screen moves to the left and you have to fight the unit to touch the screen as it repositions as you get closer.
It also gets totally confused if two people are in the room or two people talking, spinning half way through a command and breaking the interaction if there is other noise.
I asked for a replacement and the replacement had no power pack, two units were delivered, a show 8 and 10 and they told me I simply had to accept two and return the other (I refused delivery ont he show 8) and the replacement is worn out on the back, clearly second hand and not even refurbished.
These units are rubbish, nothing compared to the show 8 or show 5, I wish Amazon would just refund me on this.
Support also discriminatory, ask for chat support, they email back and say sorry we cannot engage you on email or chat, you have to call us on a phone service. Hours wasted chasing them.
Really disappointing outcome, the concept is good, having a device that can rotate would be good for security but reality is the device is not stable or reliable and even the tracking function is not designed well for remote use. I cannot see any way to integrate it with home assistant or any other tools either.
