Children of all ages are grappling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and behavioural issues, and it can take years to see an expert who can help them.
Dr Billy Garvey is a senior specialist at one of the world's biggest and most prestigious paediatric hospitals. With over twenty years' experience working with families, he wants to reassure parents that there is no such thing as a bad child and that much of what he tells families in clinic is based on the same principles he outlines in this book.
Regardless of whether you have a young child or a teen on the brink of adulthood, by understanding the foundations of good mental health, you will be able to help them to thrive at any stage in their development.

I know I sound like he has paid me to say it, but I've never met the man
(other than religiously listening to his catalogue of free and amazing podcast~) yet the level of connection he shares is so palpable and authentic. He warns you'll need tissues, and he is so on the money with that.
EVERY HUMAN MUST READ THIS BOOK- for the betterment of our children, our children's children and ourselves, to just be able to integrate and delight in the journey of this crazy wild ride called life. If you're a parent...READ IT
If you're an aunt/uncle/neighbour... READ IT.
if you are an educator, a barista selling babycinos... JUST READ IT!
Heartfelt thanks to you Dr Billy Garvey and hugest congratulations on achieving the reach you've been striving for and sharing this soulfilled work you are doing, one day at a time. I may only be able to leave a review, but it's my pebble to the pond to keep this ripple going x
What a beautiful world we would all live in if we got on board Dr Billy Garvey’s dream of “no kids being left behind”.
This is such an easy read filled with real-life stories of hope and practical tips. Parenting is a tough job. The responsibility of raising little humans and nurturing their mental health (while navigating our own) is a massive load to carry, but it feels a little lighter armed with all of this knowledge from his years of practical experience. Thank you Dr Billy for this book and all the time and energy you (and Nick) put into the Pop Culture Parenting podcast. You’re changing so many lives, for generations to come.
