The headline is true. I now own several Zojirushi products from thermal bottles to this including rice cooker, water boiler, electric pot, and grill. Next on list is griddle. Fun fact: Zojirushi own Thermos brand (which is slightly inferior to Zojirushi products) in American market.
Samsung oven went out after less than 2 years. This item was purchased as a stop-gap (okay, mostly to make toasted sandwiches like Subway) while the Samsung oven is repaired or replaced. I'd been hemming and hawing over when to buy it and used the oven issue as justification :)
1. READ THE MANUAL. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LETTER. AND YOU CAN NOT FAIL, MOSTLY. Really well written instructions. So detailed that some may become intimidated.
2. Performs as advertised. Everyone in house is happy I purchased this. They were hesitant, at first. In one day, they went from "What do I do with this?" to Loving It.
3. Melts cheese on sandwiches while toasting, like Subway. I use Timed Toast of 5 minutes. Used with regular slices of bread and with bread rolls.
4. Grilled ham and cheese? No. Toasted ham & cheese like at Subway? Yes. It's not exact but well enough to be tasty. As for Grilled Ham & Cheese? You won't have the buttery taste of grilling in a griddle for yummy taste.
5. Looks great. Really great.
6. Accessories. Love it.

1. Informational only. Make sure that - like many appliances of this nature - you have adequate spacing. From freezers to microwaves to oven toasters, the body of the product is part of heating & cooling. By placing items against the body of these products, you are all but guaranteeing a shorter life. Even computers require spacing for cooling and proper fan placement.
2. The baking & broil sheets are bowed in the middle. Zojirushi explains that as preventing warping. If youi want to replace with flatter sheets? The manual recommends the types of materials you can use with this toaster oven.

Very happy with it
Im pleased with this. I was leary at first since I never heard of the brand but this thing is cool. This pic has a cup all the way in the back to show the size of this thing. It preheats quick and cooks VERY evenly. It even has a bunch of pretimed settings that even ask you the darkness of your bagel, if it's frozen vs thawed etc. I like that the light goes off after like 30 seconds so it doesn't just stay on and burn out over time. The only thing I wish was slightly better is that the dial on it is very smooth but that's really a minor minor inconvenience at worst. This thing is great, very happy with purchase! Especially for the price!Edit: I have now had this for almost a year. I use it daily and it's still strong and kicking with no issues! I've gotten used to the dial quickly and now prefer it. Very glad I bought it
