Ever since I had my first car with disk brakes and fancy wheels, brake dust has been a giant PITA every time I wash and clean my cars. I used to mutter to myself and tell everyone who would listen, "I would give my left cojone to someone who can come up with an easy way to clean the wheels!" Lo and behold, a friend of my introduced me to Sonax, and it IS AMAZING. Unless you have been utterly abusing your wheels, it is literally a spray-on, spray off operation. The solution comes out green, and when it turns to a purplish red color, your take a hose and spray everything off, it is good as new.
The only drawback is probably the cost. At almost a dollar an ounce, this stuff ain't cheap, but considering the time and elbow grease saved, it is well worth the cost for me. Now I just hope Sonax doesn't try to make my keep my promise about my family jewels.
