Like another reviewer mentioned, the patterned bag appears to be made of much thicker material. It's a really nice bag and I would have kept it but I was looking for something that was lighter weight and would pack down super-small so I opted for a different bag.
Still this one is a nice option if you want something that is a little more structured (via the thicker material) and is still packable.
